Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association – Hurricane Beryl Livestock Preparation

As you are likely aware, Hurricane Beryl is expected to make landfall in Texas overnight. As of Saturday, July 6, the state’s Hurricane Beryl Disaster Declaration includes 121 counties. See some ways to keep yourself and your livestock safe below.

Ensure all livestock are moved to higher ground, if possible.
Take current headcounts and inventory of livestock.
Take photos of brands and livestock for identification purposes.
Spray paint or chalk paint a visible symbol or number on livestock without brands.
