IVF CYCLES ON FOUR LEADING DONOR COWS
Lot 3 – IVF CYCLE ON SULL MAX ROSA 1145
SULL Max Rosa 1145 was a past high seller in the Cyclone Trace Production Sale and is a full sister to some of the most successful genetics in the Shorthorn breed. Her full sister, CYT Max Rosa 9111, was the 2009 and 2010 two-time NAILE champion along with the 2010 National Jr. Heifer Show Champion Female. Max Rosa 1145 stems from the great Max Rosa 310 that was also a past NWSS Champion Shorthorn Open Show female. Max Rosa 1145 is the dam of lot 1a in this sale, that will be highlighted in our show string at Jr. Nationals and is sure to be a contender on show day. Max Rosa 1145 has outstanding set of Red Knight daughters on the ground right now in our 2019 calf crop that will be highlights in our Maternal Legends Sale this fall.
Lot 4 – IVF CYCLE ON SULL MAX ROSA 310
SULL Max Rosa 310 is the mother to CYT Max Rosa 9111, the 2009 and the 2010 two-time NAILE Champion along with the 2010 National Jr. Heifer Show Champion Female. She is also the mother to Max Rosa 1145 that was a past high seller in the Cyclone Trace Production Sale that is now a powerhouse donor for us at Sullivan Farms. As you study this sale a lot of the highlights stem from the legendary Max Rosa cow family and will add value with quality to anyone’s program. Max Rosa 310 is also the dam of Madison McCormick’s NAILE and NWSS Calf Champion, SULL Maxed Rosa Knights 8044f, and she herself is offered as lot 1b is this sale. Madison’s heifer will be on display in our Shorthorn Jr. National Show string and we think she will be a major contender on show day at the 2019 Jr. National Heifer Show.
Lot 5 – IVF CYCLE ON SULL Crystal’s Lucy 0686
SULL Crystal’s Lucy 0686 was the 2012 NWSS Grand Champion Shorthorn Female and went on to be selected the Grand Champion Female at the 2012 NJHS as well. She has an outstanding daughter (Lot 1c in this sale), SULL Crystal’s Lucy 8202f, sired by SULL Red Knight that will be highlighted in our show string at Jr. Nationals. She herself was Calf Champion at the 2019 NWSS Open and Jr. Show and was recently selected Reserve Champion Female at the 2019 Iowa State Shorthorn Field Day. SULL Crystal’s Lucy 0686 has also worked very well to SULL Right Direction. David Smith’s Nebraska State Fair Reserve Supreme Champion Female as well as the 2015 National Jr. Heifer Show 4th Overall Female, the 2018 No Bull Fall Heifer sale topper at $20,000, the 2017 Maternal Legends Sale topper at $43,000.00 and the 2018 California State Fair Reserve Supreme Champion Female that were all sired by SULL Right Direction.
Lot 6 – IVF CYCLE ON SULL LADY CRYSTAL 434P
IVF Cycle on one of the most proven and versatile cows in the Shorthorn breed, SULL Lady Crystal 434P clone. She dominated the 2018 National Jr. Heifer Show by producing the Grand Champion Shorthorn Plus Female along with Reserve and 3rd Overall Grand Champion ShorthornPlus females. In our 2018 Maternal Legends Sale she produced a $97,000 sale topper that has went on to be Reserve Grand Champion Shorthorn Plus in the Open and Jr. Show at the 2019 NWSS. This female, shown by Abby Burkhart, was also selected as 5th Overall Female at the 2019 Iowa Beef Expo and most recently was selected as the Champion Shorthorn Plus at the Iowa State Shorthorn Field Day. She has also raised multiple sale toppers and National Champions in our Purebred Shorthorn division. Lady Crystal has had multiple national and state fair champions; including SULL Crystal’s Lucy, Champion Female at the 2012 NWSS and NJHS, SULL Cool Crystal Champion Female at the 2015 NWSS Open and Jr. Show and SULL Crystal’s Tootie Champion Female at the 2013 NAILE Open and Jr. Show. This great cow is extremely versatile and works to a wide variety bulls of multiple breeds.
