WE’RE A WEEK OUT! (for trailers to arrive that is!)
The Rumble is next week already and we are getting excited for it! Here is a quick run down of the schedule for next week so everyone can have it on their radar and start planning their weekend in eastern Iowa.
First and foremost, YOU MUST HAVE HEALTH PAPERS no matter where you are from. If you are from out of state, you must have BLOOD WORK as well!
Friday, 4/29/22:
-3:00pm – fairgrounds will be open for trailers to begin to arrive. There is a ton of grass parking spots to park trailer to show off of, or there will be roughly 75-100 pens available in the barn.

-4:00pm-8:00pm – Check in
(Reminder that all pigs must be entered in the ShowTec program whether you are from Iowa or not! Please click the link and get your information entered prior to coming to check in so the process can go more smoothly. Saturday, 4/30/2022:
-7:00am-8:30am – finish up check in.
-10:00am – Senior Showmanship will start. $10 entry fee at the gate, winner under one judge takes half the pot, winner under the other judge takes the other half. Kids will show to both judges at once. If divisions need split down into heats, it will be done as the division begins. (PeeWee Showmanship will follow the Novice Showmanship)
-10-15 minutes following the conclusion of showmanship – show will start:
*Ring 1 (Jim Mccoy, OH) will start with Berkshire Breeding Gilts and work his way through the Breeding Gilts like a normal show finishing with Dark Cross Gilts.
*Ring 2 (Ben Lenig, IN) will start with Dark Cross barrows and work his way backwards through the market hogs finishing with Berkshire Market Hogs.
*(Once each ring has selected their Top 5 we will do the same orders just switch rings… i.e.- Ring 1 will start with Dark Cross Market Hogs and work his way back to Berkshire Market Hogs and Ring 2 will start with Berkshire Gilts and work his way to Dark Cross Gilts)
We will have Rachel Engel with Redefined Design and Photography there to take ring shots and backdrops after the shows are complete!
Reminders:
-You must have health papers, and blood work if you are from out of state.
-30/hd entry fee CASH ONLY, NO CHECKS.
-It’s just a jackpot show, and it’s meant for the kids to have fun. Please keep that in mind.
