One of our first members, MD Shurley, passed away. He had the reserve champion buck at our first National Show in 1995 and won the Ambassador of the Breed award at last year’s show. MD was one of the few ABGA Judges certified under the South African system. An active supporter of the JABGA, he was a delightful addition to our videotaped Roundtable where he shared the experiences of the early days of the Boer goat in America.
