NJAA Herd Pick | Cheyenne Brunker

Introducing your latest NJAA Herd Pick, Cheyenne Brunker of Ottawa, KS!
Cheyenne’s favorite National Junior Angus Show was “The Grandest Show” last summer in Grand Island, NE. Here she participated in the Angus Mentoring Program (AMP) and met lifelong friends. Her favorite NJAS contest is Quiz Bowl because she enjoys learning more about the breed.
She is thankful to have many mentors in her life, including AJ Rogers who saw her passion for the Angus industry and helped her grow as a showman and herdsman. She also appreciates Alex Cozzitorto for taking her in at her first state show and inspiring her to get involved. “She encourages me like a little sister to always be better – not only in the ring, but also outside of it,” she says.
Cheyenne’s favorite thing about being involved in the NJAA is the community of friends that feels like family. Her advice for a new NJAA member is to get involved in contests, whether in or outside of the ring. She says that if you’re unsure about something new, ask a fellow NJAA member for advice on new things to try!
Outside of her Angus involvement, Cheyenne enjoys showing sheep, playing basketball, and running cross country and track.
Congratulations, Cheyenne – your Angus family is proud of you!
