NJAA Herd Pick | Anna King

Meet your latest Herd Pick: Anna King of Cobleskill, New York!

Anna attended her first NJAS in 2014 in Indianapolis, and her favorite NJAS was in Louisville in 2019. At this junior show, she enjoyed time with many fellow exhibitors from her home state, and made new friends through participating in contests and serving as a voting delegate. Anna’s favorite contest is Prepared Public Speaking, because “it’s a life skill you will always need, no matter what area of work you go into.”

Anna’s advice to new NJAA members is to always try something new, because there is something for everyone! “Get involved, and don’t be afraid to meet new people,” she says. Her favorite part about being in the NJAA is having the opportunity to be part of something that offers so many opportunities in and out of the show ring. “These experiences will take you very far in life,” she says. “You are always making connections and learning new things.”

Anna views her parents as some of her biggest mentors throughout her junior career. She thanks them for pushing her to work hard and always do her best!

When Anna isn’t involved in NJAA activities, she enjoys photography as well as hiking and camping with her family. She currently attends SUNY Cobleskill for Agriculture Business Management.

Thanks for being an outstanding example, Anna!
