Here is a breakdown of our Bred & Owned Rules and Shows
1. Bred and Owned entries (Bulls, Females and Steers) CANNOT be out of Commercial, Foundation or Non-Registered dams.
2. If the dam of a Bred & Owned entry is from another breed, they must have a registration certificate showing ownership on file at the AMAA and that pedigree will need to be added to the AMAA registry.
3. The exhibitor must be listed as the breeder and owner on the original registration certificate on Bred & Owned entries.
4. If you plan to show in both the Bred & Owned and Owned heifer shows you must enter in BOTH shows. We do NOT assume that because the animal is Bred & Owned that you want to be in both shows. There is an option for Bred & Owned AND Owned Shows on the entry form.
5. Bred & Owned steers must also enter in the Owned steer show since they’re held simultaneously.
