Q: Tell us a bit about what is important to you outside of showing
A: Church, reading, cooking, hunting, livestock judging, and Sundays at Ma’s.
Q: What breeds of cattle do you show?
A: Mutts… So far, I have only shown steers and one jankey chi heifer. Daddy says they are so crossed up they don’t know come here from sic em.
Q: What is your favorite showbarn activity?
A: Working hair. The daily transformation from wet to fluffy dry is so satisfying. I could watch good, dry hair flow under a blower for hours!
Q: What is your favorite Sullivans product?
A: Making the switch to the Strong Hold Cable Halter has been a game-changer for me! My steer last year was a few bricks shy of a load and responded so well to the cable halter. We started them all on cables this year, and training was more effective and no-nonsense. Besides that, I like the sleek, non-distracting look of the cable.
Q: Do you have any pre-show rituals or lucky charms?
A: Pray. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Q: What are some of your favorite show memories?
A: Winning my first belt buckle at the Rabun Co. Fair with my first show gilt, Ashe. More recently, Reserve Grand Champion Steer at the Georgia State Show with Cheddar Bob ranks right up there!
Q: What is your favorite quote?
A: “Our success depends on our commitment.”
Q: What piece of advice would you give to other showmen?
A: Keep your composure. Your animal’s attitude is fueled by you and is a direct reflection of your attitude.

A: My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My parents, my emotional support animals (aka, my sisters), Hope and David for trusting me with good stock, and the amazing team that surrounds me every time we leave the barn.
