July Hereford Highlight | Megan Underwood

Our July Hereford Highlight is Megan Underwood of Campbellsville, Ky!

“I am so thankful I came home to Hereford and am a member of the Hereford family,” said Megan. Megan is a second year master’s student at Kansas State University (K-State) studying agricultural education and communication. She says that it is because of Faces of Leadership and touring the animal science department that led her to pursue both a bachelor’s and master’s degree at K-State.

She has been incredibly involved in the breed from conferences to serving as an ambassador at the Junior National Hereford Expo (JNHE), and she was fortunate to attend the first BOLD conference. She says that because of these opportunities she has been able to develop a deeper passion for the breed, determine career goals and build a support system unlike any other. If you haven’t met Megan, plan to meet her in Louisville as she shows at her final JNHE and helps her home state of Kentucky host Banners in the Bluegrass.
