The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic, pay attention to detail, have prior knowledge of cattle care and animal health and must be willing to learn new things and utilize various forms of technology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Feeding and Animal Care
• Calving Assistance
• Pasture Management
• Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Safely operate machinery for feeding, making hay, mowing, etc.
• Record Keeping: Must be willing to utilize/learn Performance Beef Analytics, keep calving records, etc.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Familiarity with cow/calf and/or feedlot operations. Familiarity with artificial insemination, embryo transfer and purebred cattle record keeping are an added bonus.
• Ability to perform strenuous tasks
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work on a team
• Knowledge of basic computer/iPad skills for record keeping
Additional Info:
This is a full-time position with varying work hours that will include weekends and holidays during certain times of the year. Potential housing is available to the right candidate. We expect a lot out of our team, but we make sure that our employees are taken care of!
