From Intern to Manager | Kara Cutshaw’s Journey with Sullivan Supply

If you’ve ever stopped by the Sullivan Supply booth at a Texas livestock show, there’s a good chance you’ve been greeted by the warm smile and can-do attitude of Kara Cutshaw.

Originally from Louisburg, Kansas, Kara grew up immersed in the show world, exhibiting lambs and hogs through 4-H. That early involvement sparked a lifelong passion for the livestock industry, which led her to Kansas State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science.

Kara joined the Sullivan Supply team in 2019 as an Iowa Sales Intern, quickly proving herself as a dedicated and hardworking. She soon stepped into a full-time role and has spent the past four years as Assistant Show Manager at our Texas location. With her unmatched work ethic, hands-on experience, and deep industry knowledge, Kara has become a vital part of our team.

Now, as she celebrates five years with Sullivan Supply, Kara proudly serves as our Texas Show Manager—a role she leads with confidence, heart, and hands-on experience.

Behind the scenes, Kara keeps the wheels turning. She’s the one loading trailers, stocking inventory, training staff, and managing logistics to make sure everything is ready for show day. But it’s more than just operations—Kara is known for building meaningful relationships with customers and offering trusted, real-world advice that only comes from someone who’s been there.

Whether she’s prepping for a major event or catching up with familiar faces in the barn, Kara is a consistent and trusted presence—someone exhibitors know they can rely on.

“What I love most is getting to connect with people across the barns—breeders, fitters, show families—people become friends, and friends become family,” she shared.

With Kara leading the way, we’re excited for what’s ahead for our Texas team. Be sure to stop by the booth at MHBA and say hello the next time you see her—you’ll be glad you did!
