Donations for families affected by Hurricane Helene

UPDATE 9/30/2024
we will have the trailer located near the Godfrey’s tent at Practice Ring 3 on the opposite side of the breezeway

it is super important that all donations funnel through exhibitors, parents, 4-H agents, or FFA Advisors—outside contributions are very welcome, but please reach out to one of us or an exhibitor/parent/agent/advisor to get items in.

Goat exhibitors can either bring to this location or take to check in and hand off to the Ga Club Goat Advisors

There are so many families that show livestock of all species affected by Hurricane Helene, yet are still making plans to attend the Georgia National Fair, if for nothing more than to reach some normalcy, have electricity and regular showers for a few days. Some of these families have been told that it may be as much as three-four weeks without electricity.

We have come together with our junior board members and some other parents to make the goal to gather supplies that can be divided and sent back home with families from affected areas to hopefully reach as many people as possible as clean up efforts continue. Please spread the word and we ask that if anyone attending from affected areas is able to take supplies back to their hometowns to please reach out and let us put them on a list for distribution.

the Southeastern Belted Galloway Juniors and Ga Jr Club Goat Assc. have joined in also

Shelly McQuaig 229-402-7232
Tad Harper (229) 392-4711
Julie Throne 706-302-2546

the location of the trailer is not established yet, but we will let y’all know as soon as we get it figured out!
