Arizona Livestock Camp | Day 1

A great week in Arizona as families from several states traveled for the four species, hands-on livestock camp sponsored by Sullivan Supply and Stock Show University.

The livestock kids here are intense and ready to learn what it takes for them to go to the next level with their livestock.

Right off the bat Master Professor Tracy Coffland kicked off the cattle session with a nutrition segment. He had the opportunity to work with Preston Porter and some of the parents evaluating pictures of cattle and suggesting feed rations for their cattle’s body type.

Sullivan Supply dealer DeSpain Livestock and Feed assisted all of the exhibitors with their show supply needs.

It doesn’t matter your size, it’s all about your determination as Professor Michelle York teaches Kellen Stanley how to brace his lamb.

Professor Dalton York assists Tyann Stanley with shearing her lamb.

Master Professor Tracy Coffland assists Tanner McBride with clipping the topline of his steer.

Professor Jamie Aries teaching about goat evaluation and handling.

Travis McBride learning some tips from Professor Shelby Skinner.

Hannah Wilson using Sullivan’s Volumizer as her product of choice during the hands-on washing segment.

Swine exhibitors listen diligently as the professors present a showmanship demonstration.

Professor Deekota Wiliams assisting a student with the hands-on showmanship segment.

We concluded the evening with a fun-filled four species trivia night with our host Professor Jake Gossett.
