Sheep exhibitors, have we read about these new changes coming to the sheep ring this year?
A white-faced division will be added to the market and breeding shows, including crosses using white-faced breeds. There will be a 7-pound tolerance from the declared weight. All animals outside of the 7-pound tolerance will be disqualified. The champion and reserve in each division of the black-face market lambs and the champion white-face influenced market lamb will qualify for the Junior Premium Livestock Auction and must sell through the auction.
