• Grounds open 5-10 PM on Friday, April 14, and beginning at 5 AM Saturday, April 15
• Stalling & fitting at your trailer is required
• Check in between 6:30-9:30 AM
• Market beef weigh-in 7-9 AM
• Show begins at 11 AM
• Open to youth ages 6-21 (see rules for more info)
• Health papers must accompany out-of-state animals
• Official IDs are mandatory
• All animals are subject to inspection by a licensed veterinarian
• The North Start Points Series will sanction the show

RULES
• No refunds for animals scratched. Substitutions permitted.
• Exhibitors must meet the age requirements of their respective breed organization. If a breed
organization is not established, those 21 and younger as of January 1 of the respective year will
be allowed to show.
• All Minnesota Livestock Sanitary Board regulations and IAFE national code of show ring
ethics must be adhered to.
• Health papers must accompany out-of-state animals and will be collected at check-in.
• Official IDs are mandatory.
• All cattle are subject to inspection by a licensed veterinarian.
• Stalling/fitting at your trailer will be required. You must bring your own generators.
• Wash racks are available with limited space.
• All papers must be presented upon arrival. All registered cattle must have registration paper
and a legible tattoo. Electronic copies are accepted.
• Market animal classes will be shown by breed and weight. Weigh-in will take place from 7-9 AM.
• Steers will be shown by breed and weight.
• Market heifers will be shown by weight only. Grand and reserve market heifers will be eligible to
compete for supreme market animals.
• AOB classification includes breeding heifers and registered steers that do not meet the
minimum head requirement. A registration paper is required.
• Exhibitors must wear the official 2023 Chad Schmit Memorial T-shirt issued at check-in.
• Each individual will receive one call to the ring before being disqualified.
• Checks will be issued upon completion of each class and must be picked up on the day of the show.
No checks will be mailed. Checks must be cashed within 90 days of the show, or they will be
forfeited.
• Trailer area must be free of trash, manure, and shavings before leaving.

JUDGING
• Judging will begin at 11 AM on Saturday, April 15, 2023.
• The Shorthorn division will start the show.
• Following that, judging will occur alphabetically by breed, followed by AOB and
commercial animals. The show will begin with breeding heifers, on to market animals, followed
by youth showmanship.

• $40.00/head if completed by April 1, 2023
• $50.00/head the day of the show
• $5.00/exhibitor for Showmanship
