Junior Heifer and Steer Judges announced for the 2023 Illinois State Fair!
Kicking off our Jr Beef Show at 6 pm, Wednesday, August 9, will be the Fred J. and Bev Killiam Memorial Performance Cow-Calf Show. The heifer shows will commence on Friday, August 11, with the selection of our Supreme overall and top Five Females. We are pleased to announce Jack and Carter Ward as our Officials as they sort through two-plus days of evaluating our Jr Heifer entries.
Joe and Joelynn Rathmann of Smithville, Texas are excited to be joining us at the Illinois State Fair as Officials of our Steer Show slated for Saturday August 12. Joe and Joelynn own and operate Rathmann Show Cattle – a multi-generational 40-year-old ranch that specializes in club calf production with an emphasis on show steer sales. Both Joe and Joelynn were members of successful junior and senior collegiate livestock judging programs (Joe being an All American in 2009 while judging for Blinn, then on the 2010 team at Texas A&M University. Joelynn was a 2008 All American at Butler, completing her collegiate judging career as a member of the 2009 team at Texas A&M.)
