What are you looking forward to at Junior Nationals? I am competing  in the NJAS Showmanship contest this year. Since you only get one chance to participate in this contest, there is a high amount of anticipation to see how I match up to other showman from across the nation.

What do you want people to be most excited about with Junior Nationals? This year, the host state has done an amazing job in preparation for the NJAS to ensure the best experience for all juniors. I hope exhibitors  and their families are excited for the opportunity to meet individuals from different aspects of the country and make life-lasting friendships.

What is the board most looking forward to at Junior Nationals? The Junior Board is excited for the opportunity to serve as leadership for the association and bring hopefully serve as role models to other junior exhibitors. They are the reason that we were elected, and we are ready to help them not only in the show ring, but also on a personal development stand point.

What do you love about your breed? For one breed to have made such an impact on the beef industry is incredible. All of the personal and leadership development that we do for our junior members all the while, having one of the largest junior nationals in the nation is comparable to none.

What is the biggest life lesson you can take away from showing livestock? You cannot win everything. Learn from your mistakes, and become a better individual because of them.

What is your most rewarding experience while on the Jr board? Seeing all of the smiles and growth in the junior members over the past two years is definitely a highlight of my experience on the National Junior Angus Board of Directors that I will never forget.
