Herdsman of the Year is a prestigious award sponsored by the Shorthorn Foundation and honored with a trophy buckle in memory of Lawrence Grathwohl. This award is voted on by fellow Shorthorn breeders and is announced each year during the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE).
