At Cattlemen’s Congress, we were honored to pause and remember a true friend and an icon of the livestock industry, Travis Pembrook, during the presentation of the Travis Pembrook Memorial Scholarship.
Travis had a genuine passion for people, especially young people, and he believed deeply in supporting the next generation of this industry. His encouragement, faith, and unwavering belief in others left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Congratulations to the scholarship recipients Nolan Lee, Jenna Donaldson, and Kelton Dowdle. Your dedication and involvement in the beef industry are a reflection of the values Travis stood for, and we know he would be incredibly proud.
Travis always reminded us that we’ve got a lot of good going on—and it’s all about the people. His legacy continues to live on through moments like this, through the young leaders being raised up, and through the lives he touched along the way.
