The 2025 Iowa State Fair has ended but the memories will be cherished by the 4-H exhibitors, family and friends for a lifetime! What an awesome Breeding Show the Iowa State Fair had!
The Breeding 4-H Exhibitors received a total of $50,250. There were 67 classes, with 1st and 2nd cash payouts totaling $11,250 and division champion & reserve checks totaling $24,000. The top 5 breeding heifers received checks totaling $15,000.
Equally as awesome was the Market Steer and Market Heifer shows the Iowa State Fair had!!
The Market 4-H Exhibitors received a total of $181,900. There were 38 market classes, with 1st and 2nd cash payouts totaling $5,500 and division champion & reserve checks totaling $36,000. The Top 5 market steers will receive $79,500 (which includes $37,500 paid to IFAA Sale of Champions). There were 9 classes of market heifers, with 1st and 2nd cash payouts totaling $1,350. The Top 3 market heifers will receive $60,850 (which includes $37,500 paid to IFAA Sale of Champions).
Overall, with the $50,250 to the Breeding 4-H Exhibitors plus the $181,900 to the Market Steer & Heifer 4-H Exhibitors; a TOTAL of $232,150!!!!
