Carlos Fox is a Sales Representative at Sullivan Supply-Hillsboro, Texas. You’ve probably seen him around or even sat down at the Sullivan Supply trailer with him to swap stories or just to get a good laugh. Either way, Carlos has become what we like to call a stock show legend. We sat down with him to get his perspective on working at Sullivan Supply for the past 11 years and to help you, as the customers, get to know the friendly face you see at the trailer a little better.
Carlos Fox grew up farming, showing sheep and raising a cattle in Cranes, Texas. Carlos’s background in agriculture is what instilled his hardworking and never give up attitude. Before Fox’s time at Sullivan Supply, Carlos owned a grocery store and butcher shop. When Carlos’s kids began showing livestock their passion for the livestock industry only increased. “When my daughter Stacy started showing we just showed everywhere we could,” says Carlos. Carlos recalls his best memory of his kids showing “my son Shane won reserve at Houston with a Hereford. We had a good time. The kids liked it and everyone got along.”
Carlos soon purchased the show supply company Hams Show Supply and traveled all over the country with Hams for three years. Carlos then began working for Sullivan Supply-South in Hillsboro on January 13th, 2006. Everyone in the barns knows Carlos and comes to the trailer visit with him and catch up. Carlos says his favorite thing about his job is the people he has met along the way.
“You meet a lot of nice people and you go places you normally wouldn’t go. I enjoy working for the public. Just like anything you do for the public you have to respect them and treat them right,” says Carlos.
Carlos has done an exceptional job during his time at Sullivan Supply by building relationships and offering the best customer service around to anyone who comes up to the trailer. Be sure to stop by and say hello to Carlos next time you see him at a show!
