The 2016 Iowa State Fair Open Simmental Show was another great event for the breed this year.
Dean Drummond, Simmental Supervisor for the Iowa State Fair had a few words after the show. “Once again another outstanding Simmental show at the Iowa state fair with 487 head shown. I would like to personally thank each and every one of your for your patience the last 4 days. This is one of the largest, not to mention one of the best Simmental shows in the nation. To Curt Rincker for judging the cattle the way he saw them from our Bull show Friday to our Female show Saturday. To my exhibitors, I want to thank you for your conduct, sportsmanship, and attitude in helping make this show the best ever. It is a pleasure to work with each and everyone of you. To all of my show day and ring help, thank you for making this show run smoothly. I truly couldn’t do it without you all. On behalf of the Iowa Simmental Association and the Iowa State Fair, my family and myself, thank you again for another great year.”
