Prayers for the Colyer family

Sullivan Supply would like to wish the friends and family of Ray Shaffer their deepest condolences. Ray will definitely be missed in the livestock industry.

The sun set on an amazing life yesterday, July 30, 2024. The 97-well lived years came to an end. If you knew him by Dad, Papa, Shaffer, or Ray he had an impact on you. His work ethic, generosity, wit and character were unsurpassed.
The saying, “If a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well”, is one he lived his life by and taught others. There was no doing anything “half assed” or “good enough”. This philosophy of life carried from his childhood to his senior years. Whether it was operating machinery, construction, playing golf, real estate deals or baking cookies he did his best. Dad never lacked for an opinion and was quick to share his with you. Whether it was a joke, politics, or how you did something you knew what he thought about it, good or bad! His life took him from Pennsylvania, Washington, California and Idaho, leaving friends in each. Mom waited 34 years for his arrival. No doubt she had a to-do list for him!
The almost millennium life will be celebrated on August 15 at 7pm in Bruneau, ID at the Colyer Ranch Sale Barn. Beverages, dinner, video and story telling will be shared. Entombment services will be September 17 at 11am, New Tacoma Cemeteries, and Funeral Home, Chambers Creek Road, Tacoma, WA – shared from Sherry Shaffer Colyer
