As you prepare for the first BEST show, don’t forget that ALL cattle must have an EID tag. Exhibitors are encouraged to have tags in their cattle upon arrival at the show; however, the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association will have tags available for purchase at check-in. If you need to purchase tags, obtain your premise ID through the Ohio Dept. of Ag and then you’re able to purchase tags from your animal health supplier. Any pre-existing EID tag will work for the BEST shows. Tags will be scanned and assigned electronically at the calf’s first show.
