In the livestock industry, experience and heart go hand in hand and Andrea Jankowski, Western Sales Representative for Sullivan Supply, brings both in abundance. Based out of Lodi, California, Andrea doesn’t just work in this field she was born into it, raised by a father who spent 30 years as a high school FFA advisor and lived the 4-H and FFA lifestyle through and through.
That legacy was passed down to Andrea early on. She began showing sheep as a young girl and went on to build her own flock growing from a few head in 2000 to over 150 wether dams by 2020. Along the way, she also showed goats, hogs, and cattle, building not just knowledge, but a true love for the show industry.
With over a decade of experience in retail and a lifelong background in livestock, Andrea’s move to Sullivan Supply felt like a natural fit. Having been a customer at the Lodi warehouse since 2000, she understood the brand from both sides as a consumer and now, as a trusted representative. “Sullivan Supply has always been the leader in the livestock showing industry,” she says, and today she’s proud to help carry that torch.
Andrea’s favorite part of the job? Educating young showmen on how to care for and elevate their animals. She thrives on the opportunity to mentor and empower the next generation. Whether it’s guiding someone through a product recommendation or helping them through a challenge in the barn, Andrea is passionate about sharing her experience to make their journey smoother.
“I absolutely love when a product I recommend solves a problem,” she says. “Or when someone is in a bind and we come in to save the day.” Those moments filled with trust, teamwork, and triumph are what make it all worth it.
Her advice to anyone in the industry is simple but powerful: “There is no magical product that will substitute for hard work and effort.”
It’s a mantra she lives by, and one she hopes every young exhibitor embraces.
From overpacking her trailer (and suitcase!) for shows to reconnecting with familiar faces across the West Coast, Andrea brings experience, humor, and heart to everything she does. She’s not just a sales representative she’s a problem solver, a mentor, and a cheerleader for the show families she serves.
