Based in Lodi, California, TJ brings energy, experience, and heart to the livestock industry — with a story as inspiring as his work.
Raised in Central Oregon, TJ’s roots in livestock run deep. But his journey took a new turn when his daughter, at just 8 years old, expressed an interest in showing goats. From that moment, the two jumped in headfirst. What started as local showing quickly expanded, culminating in a trip to Junior Nationals in Nebraska during their very first year. That bold leap exemplifies the fearless enthusiasm TJ brings to every endeavor.
TJ’s path to Sullivan Supply began at the Oregon State Fair, where he launched the first-ever goat fitting clinic. His hands-on leadership and passion caught attention, and shortly after, Matt Burkhart reached out to offer him a position. Within two months, TJ was on the road, beginning a new chapter — and a new mission: to educate, support, and empower the next generation of showmen across the West Coast.
For TJ, the best part of the job is traveling to connect with youth and share his knowledge. His heart is especially drawn to first-time exhibitors — ensuring that their initial experience in the ring is not just educational, but unforgettable. “Being able to work with first-time livestock kiddos… making their first experience memorable — that’s the reward,” he says.
While the road can be demanding — especially time spent away from home and his barn — TJ never lets the challenge dim his passion. He continues to lead by example, encouraging others with his mantra: “Never stop educating and sharing your knowledge. Have patience and grace.”
When it comes to favorite Sullivan Supply products, TJ stays true to his roots with Zoom Bloom and Shock — longtime staples on his trailer. But he’s also a big fan of the “new kid on the block,” Blizzard, which is fast becoming a go-to favorite.
