While Trevor jokes that he “fell into” the livestock show industry, Trevor’s impact as a sales rep has been anything but accidental. While attending Black Hawk College, Trevor joined Sullivan Supply as an intern and has now spent more than 10 years traveling the country, serving exhibitors and helping manage some of the livestock industry’s largest national shows.
“I went to Black Hawk and interned for Sullivan Supply, and I haven’t left since,” Trevor said.
Since joining the team, Trevor has grown from an intern to a traveling sales representative. Over the last 10 years, he has taken on additional responsibilities at many of the nation’s premier livestock events. While working alongside the traveling sales team, he also helps oversee inventory, displays, and day-to-day operations at major shows such as the National Junior Angus Show, National Western Stock Show, North American International Livestock Exposition, and other national events.
Over the past decade, one of Trevor’s favorite parts of the job has remained the same: building relationships with exhibitors and their families.
“Getting to see the same families over and over again,” he said. “I’ve become very familiar with a lot of families and getting to see them at least once a year at these national shows.”
Working for a family-owned company and connecting with customers across the country are two of the biggest reasons Trevor has enjoyed his time with Sullivan Supply.
“It’s a pretty tight-knit group,” he said.
When asked what advice he would give young exhibitors, Trevor encouraged them to take advantage of every opportunity they can.
“Just keep getting after it,” he said. “Say yes a lot, and just take every opportunity you have to do anything.”
When he’s not on the road, Trevor enjoys golfing, playing pickleball, gardening, and spending time outdoors. Trevor will be at the Sullivan Supply trailer this week in Louisville, KY at Angus Junior Nationals, and encourages everyone to stop by and say hello!
