Meet Jacie!

Time to meet another #BestInBlue At-Large Director!
Name: Jacie Wolfinger
Hometown: Lexington, Nebraska
Age: 19
Question 1 – What made you want to get involved with the breed and run for the AJMAA junior board?
I went to my first junior national in 2016 in Grand Island, NE and from then on I became more active and involved within the breed. I met some wonderful people of all ages within the organization and took on the role of Maine-Anjou princess in 2019. After that experience I knew that I wanted to take on bigger roles within the breed. Serving as a junior board member I hope to encourage younger livestock enthusiasts to start their journey within the breed.
Question 2 – Who in the Maine-Anjou breed do you look up the most or has made the biggest impact on you?
Within this breed we are all blessed to look up to some of the best in this industry. People who have impacted me the most are Jeremy and Andrea Clark. They have helped me find some amazing females throughout the years that have grown my herd. Working with Jeremy and Andrea allowed me to grow my herd and market my own genetics which grew my FFA SAE and helped me earn the American Star Farmer Finalist award, because they taught me to become a better breeder and I am now raising some of my own genetics.
Question 3 – What is your favorite MAINE Event memory?
My favorite MAINE event memory would have to be whitewater rafting last year in Colorado. It was an awesome way to work together as a team in a situation that we normally aren’t in. Lots of memories were made for sure!
Question 4 – What is your favorite hype song?
Levels by BigXthaPlug
Question 5 – If you could pick any decade to live in, what would you pick?
