It’s time to go “Beyond the Board” with your vice chairman, J. Gordon Clark! Although he’s originally from Virginia, Gordon is currently a junior at Kansas State University. He is pursuing a degree in agricultural communications, with minors in animal science and agricultural sales.
Gordon plans to return home and be involved in his family’s commercial construction business, while also continuing to pursue his interest in Angus cattle by marketing Angus females in southern Virginia. He comes from a family of builders, carpenters and businessmen and women, and credits them with teaching him how to work hard from a young age.
His upbringing in construction and involvement in animal agriculture has instilled in him a strong passion for both industries. He is thankful for both the lifelong friends and connections made and valuable lessons learned through the NJAA, which will serve him in all aspects of life in the future.
