McPeak’s World Champion Showmanship

We had an opportunity to chat with Jerry McPeak, one of the key players in the creation of the brand new show McPeak’s World Champion Showmanship.

McPeak said it this show was something of a bucket list moment for him. He said that for over 38 years, he has been teaching showmanship at his world-renowned Be a Champ Camps, and it was time to create a show that just focused on showmanship.

“Adults are hypocrites,” said McPeak. “They say tell the kids that showmanship is one of the most important things, but then it is the last thing at a show that money gets put behind. At our show, showmanship is the focal point; it is all we are doing and giving away over $20,000 to prove our commitment to it.”

“Something unique about our show is that is it completely run by a volunteer, even the judges are volunteers when I called up the showmanship judges I told them that I would more than likely not be able to pay them, and not a single one of them flinched,” said McPeak. “ And speaking of judges, I can guarantee these will be the best showmanship judges that anyone has ever show under ever in the world, and they are going to be concentrating only on showmanship.”

There are countless people to thank from individual sponsors like Meme Clay, who cut a $5,000 check, all the way to larger sponsors like Sullivan Supply and so many others.

McPeak said he encourages everyone to attend the show no matter your skill level. A kid can be good even if they don’t know it yet.

Entires for McPeak’s World Championship Showmanship Contest are open until tomorrow at noon. Visit https://worldchampionshowmanship.com to learn more about this unique show opportunity.
