Live Like Lily Foundation Memorial Livestock Show to be Held this Sunday, December 13th in Conroe, Texas in Honor of Lily Romanchuk

Lily Romanchuk was born in Port Perry, Ontario, Canada, on October 18, 2000, and  later moved to Texas where she grew up with her older brother, Brandon, a younger brother, Finn, and a younger sister, Zoe.  She showed for  7 years starting with goats and then making her way to cattle where she found her passion. Lily started going to the McPeak’s Be A Champ Camp and after 5 years of being a camper, she began attending the camps as a member of the staff so that she could help kids that were just as passionate as she was. The more she helped get to grow their passion the more her passion grew as well which lead her to pursue a degree in agriculture at Oklahoma State University. Lily was only 7 weeks into her first semester at Oklahoma State when she tested positive for EBV (Epstein-Barr Virus) and was diagnosed with mono. After further review, she was also diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma later into her intensive treatment. After almost nine weeks of heroic battle, Lily returned Home to The Lord. The Live Like Lily Foundation was formed in this past spring and designed to honor Lily Romanchuk and her hard-fought battle with HLH. The board of Directors was formed by Lily’s parents, Brad and Lisa. They put together a group of people who had a great impact on Lily’s life and it includes: Lisa and Brad Romanchuk, Kyndall Shrum, Travis Pembrook, Jason Elmore, Cody Wellmann, Philip Dupuis, and Lauren Jacobs, MD. The Foundation was set up to provide scholarships that are designed to reward high school seniors and undergraduate students pursuing agriculture-based degree programs, who have demonstrated a passion for both the agriculture industry and service to others and their community. They also provide an annual scholarship to a student that is a survivor of Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis, or HLH.The Foundation provides scholarship opportunities for students that fall under one of three main categories:

$1,500 scholarships for high school seniors pursuing an agriculture-based degree program
$2,500 scholarships for current undergraduate students pursuing an agriculture-based degree program
$2,500 scholarship for a survivor of Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) that is a high school senior or a current undergraduate student

The Live Like Lily Foundation created the 1st Annual Live Like Lily Foundation Memorial Livestock Show, which is scheduled for this Sunday, December 13, 2020, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Conroe, Texas. They designed the show in hopes to put on one of the best 4-species prospect shows in Texas and to help raise money for the Live Like Lily Foundation Scholarships. Heifers, Steers, Goats, Lambs, and Swine will show in 3 rings. The show founders and entire Romanchuck Family looks forward to hosting a very special show in Lily’s memory.
