Let’s meet the interns The Great Kentucky Campout Interns!

Brandt Molyneux, Iowa State University
Brandt is from Gibson, Iowa and grew up on a row crop farm where he spent most of his free time showing cattle. Currently Brandt is a junior at Iowa State University majoring in Animal Science. After college he plans to obtain a master’s degree in cow/calf nutrition. “I am very excited to be helping the AJMAA & AJCA with the junior national this summer.”
Jacob Sanderson, Oklahoma State University
Growing up in the small town of Guthrie, Oklahoma, allowed Jacob the opportunity to be involved in a variety of rural agriculture operations. However, it wasn’t until he joined FFA in high school that he showed his first breeding doe and established a new found passion for the livestock showing program and community. This experience was his first introduction to the program and diverse group of people that changed his life for the better.
Jacob is now a Junior at Oklahoma State University studying Animal Science with a business option. For the past four years he has had the privilege to intern with many state and national shows like the Oklahoma Youth Expo, Arkansas Youth Expo, and Cattlemen’s Congress. Through these wonderful opportunities he has learned from some of the brightest minds and greatest industry leaders and has made the decision to pursue a career that focuses on youth development within the livestock industry. “I am excited to intern for the Maine-Anjou and Chianina associations this summer to gain a better understanding of how two major breed associations run an effective junior program and the undeniable impact they make on their youth.”
Haley M Ringkob, South Dakota State University
Haley Ringkob is from Lake City, South Dakota. She is a senior at South Dakota State University with a major in elementary education and a dance minor. She will be a 4th grade teacher at Westside Elementary in Sisseton, South Dakota, this coming fall. She has been showing cattle with her family since the age of 6 and has attended every Maine/Chi Junior National since 2008. “It is always the highlight of the summer and the one family vacation we take! I have been honored to serve as your 2017 American Maine-Anjou Association National Queen and have worked two summers as a Brookings County 4-H intern. Alongside that, I have been on the staff of SDSU’s Little International, the largest two-day student-run livestock exhibition in the country. I also grew up in 4-H and have been a volunteer for numerous Achievement Days and other jackpot shows year-round. This industry has raised me and I am thrilled to get to work behind the scenes and alongside everyone on the Maine/Chi staff to help put on this years’ Great Kentucky Campout! See you there!”
Maddie O’Leary, Texas Tech University
Maddie O’Leary is 19 years old and a freshman at Texas Tech University studying agriculture leadership. She is from Brock, Texas, where she lives with her parents Jeff and Maggie and siblings Gabby and Kaegan. Maddie grew up showing steers and Hereford heifers at the state and national levels. “Once I finish school I hope to work for a Texas major or junior national show. I feel very blessed and thankful that I was granted this opportunity, and I am very excited to be an intern this summer!”
We look forward to having Brandt, Jacob, Haley & Maddie with us this summer!
