Iowa Select Farms is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our team and support our production and marketing operations.
This role has direct ownership of identifying ideal market hogs by site and route according to system weight targets, while reducing individual pig weight variation, minimizing sort loss, and maximizing the percentage of hogs sent to primary packers.
The Marketing Specialist will also help implement and recommend marketing strategy adjustments by barn to meet overall system goals. This position involves routine site visits, forecasting and selecting hogs for market, developing and executing site-specific marketing plans, and working closely with production, transportation, veterinary, and leadership teams to achieve marketing and economic objectives. The role requires hands-on involvement in barns, strong communication across departments, and a commitment to animal well-being, safe handling practices, and continuous improvement. Previous experience in swine production is preferred, along with basic computer skills such as reporting, data entry, and use of Excel and other internal systems.
This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, with expected day-shift hours Monday through Friday.
Occasional evenings, weekends, and additional availability may be required based on business needs. Regular travel is required, and a company vehicle will be provided.
