Our Sullivan Supply Sales Representatives have become the friendly, familiar faces that many have come to know. Today’s friendly face behind the window that we are highlighting hails to us from Cardington, Ohio. Jakob Edgell came to our Hillsboro, Texas location after attending The Ohio State University in 2020. Jakob’s background working on a 5,000-acre cash crop farm, as well as showing cattle and hogs has instilled in him the knowledge and skills needed to better serve you, our customers.
Jakob enjoys working in his position as a sales representative because he gets to experience first-hand the passion younger generations have for this great industry. “Sullivan Supply truly fuels the hunger for exhibitors and encourages young livestock participants to learn all aspects of the industry,” says Jakob. “It’s so rewarding to me to be able to travel and share some of my knowledge to kids in different areas across the state of Texas who didn’t necessarily grow up with the same background as me.”
One of Jakob’s favorite opportunities during his time here at Sullivan Supply has been getting the chance to travel across Texas and expanding his network within the industry. “The chance to move out of my hometown and start to experience the industry in a different manner has been a very eye-opening experience,” Jakob stated. “I love traveling and meeting new people every show I go to. It just goes to show the passion, dedication, and love that so many people have for the livestock industry.” As all our sales representatives, Jakob is grateful for the chance to network with new people and visit new places which he may not have gotten the opportunity to do so if it were not for joining the Sullivan Supply family.
