The junior board and leadership team are always evaluating ways to keep contests relevant, fair, and engaging for today’s youth.
Please make note of these important 2026 contest rule updates before entering this year’s event. 
1. Arts & Crafts
Interview time is 2 minutes. Must be farm/ranch related.
2. Herdsman Contest
The quiz will consist of multiple choice, matching, true/false questions and skill-a-thon questions.
3. Photography
The statement contestants are encouraged to use 35 millimeter camera has been removed.
4. Public Speaking
No specific topic for Novice, Junior, and Intermediates. May be beef industry related.
5. Graphic Design Contest
Seniors will have the same requirement as Intermediates and will no longer be required to produce a logo.
