How long have you been showing?
8 years

How many years have you shown at the NAILE?
Last year was my first year showing there so this will be my second year showing at NAILE. I got to show in Louisville this summer for Maine, Chi and Simmental Junior Nationals.

What is one thing about the Simmental breed you enjoy the most?
I really enjoy that the Simmental breed gets you involved. At junior nationals they require you to participate in at least 3 events to be able to show. I think that is a great way to get the exhibitors involved. I was able to meet so many exhibitors from other states that I wouldn’t have had the chance to if I didn’t do the contests. It’s a really good learning experience for all kids and I like that the Simmental breed gets everyone interacting.

If you had to pick another breed to show what one would it be and why?
Angus. The breed is so dedicated involving the youth and families. The Angus Junior Nationals always impresses and I like that they encourage the exhibitors and parents to participate

What is your favorite Sullivan Supply product and why?
Kleen Sheen. It’s great for a daily hair care product. Works well and it has multiple purposes.

What is your favorite thing about showing at the NAILE?
I really enjoy meeting everyone. It’s a bigger show and there are always new people.

What advice can you give to juniors that are just starting to show?
You have to start somewhere. Not everyone starts at the top. It’s important to keep trying and never give up! Hard work will find a way to pay off.

What does showing at the NAILE mean to you?
Everyone says there is nothing like showing on the green shavings and I would agree but I also think there is more to it than that. Anyone can go to any show they want to, but it’s always been a dream for me showing at the NAILE. I’ve set goals for myself and the hard work has paid off getting to show at national level shows.

Who are your Role Models?
My Parents, without them I wouldn’t be here and they have always been there for me.

What is your Favorite Quote?
If you ain’t first, you’re last. – Ricky Bobby
