Vintage Envy Boutique, owned by Kali Stratman, recently opened for business in Dunlap at 609 Iowa Ave. The boutique offers primarily women’s dressy and casual clothing and accessories, as well as some children’s clothing. The boutique carries tween and plus-sized clothing as well.
Stratman grew up in West Point, Nebraska and she credits her success to her country roots.
“Growing up on a farm has brought me to where I am today,” Stratman shared. “I would not be here if it wasn’t for showing cattle and the people I have met along the way.”
Stratman graduated from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE with an associate degree in Business and Technology.
Vintage Envy Boutique was established in 2019 as an online business and in February of 2023, Stratman opened the door to her first brick-and-mortar retail space. This space is within a building on Dunlap’s main street, formerly occupied by Michelle Garside Photography.
“I have always wanted to open a store in Dunlap, because of the community,” Stratman explained. “I could not be more excited for the opportunity.”
When Stratman is not at the store, she finds time for other hobbies and interests. “I enjoy going to cattle shows with my fiancé and spending time with family,” she said. Stratman is getting married in April to Dalton Smith of Charter Oak.
“A new boutique in town is very exciting,” shared DCDC Executive Director, Jill Schaben. “It adds to the ever-growing list of unique and enjoyable places to shop in Dunlap. We’re excited that Kali picked Dunlap and we look forward to watching our town’s business district continue to expand.”
