If you’ve spent time in the show barns of Utah, chances are you’ve seen Lindsy Thomas cheering from the sidelines. Whether it’s her own children or someone else’s, Lindsy has a unique way of lifting up young exhibitors, celebrating their hard work, and encouraging them to reach their full potential. She believes every child’s project is more than just an animal, it’s an opportunity to grow, learn, and build confidence. Now, she brings that same energy and enthusiasm to her newest adventure as a Sullivan Supply traveling dealer with Lou’s Livestock Supply.
Known to her mom as “Lindsy Lou,” Lindsy is an ag teacher, mom of three, and lifelong cattlewoman with a deep passion for helping livestock families succeed in and out of the show ring. Her roots run deep in the Angus cattle business, her great-grandfather began ranching in Mona, Utah, and her grandfather and father later founded Shandar Angus Ranch. From a young age, Lindsay spent countless hours in the barn and on the road, traveling across the western U.S. to shows with her family. Those experiences instilled in her the values of hard work, teamwork, and the unique way this industry brings families together.
Her husband, Dave, also comes from strong agricultural roots. Raised on a dairy in Genola, Utah, Dave turned his passion for farming and equipment into a career with companies such as John Deere, New Holland, and Case IH. Together, Lindsay and Dave are raising their three children, Tess, Tripp, and Ty, who are already following in their parents’ footsteps, raising and showing livestock while embracing the lessons of dedication and responsibility that the industry provides.
Lindsy’s career in agriculture education has been equally impactful. She taught ag programs in several states and made meaningful contributions to every program she joined. After moving back to Utah in 2010, Lindsay felt the pull of the show industry once again. Years of joking with show supply trailer owner John Ludlow, “I’ll take the trailer too!” as Lindsy would close out her tab after each livestock show, finally became reality. John trusted her to carry on the legacy and sold her the trailer that would become Lou’s Livestock Supply.
As a traveling Sullivan Supply dealer, Lindsy is thrilled to hit the road and serve families across the growing Rocky Mountain Show Circuit. With jackpots, county fairs, and regional events expanding throughout Utah, Colorado, Idaho, and beyond, the circuit has opened more opportunities than ever for youth to showcase their animals, develop skills, and build confidence. Lindsy sees this growth as the perfect platform to support the next generation of livestock enthusiasts with the highest-quality products in the industry.
More than just selling supplies, Lindsy treasures being part of the ag community. She loves building relationships at the shows and watching young exhibitors put in the work, overcome challenges, and develop lifelong skills. “Seeing kids gain confidence and pride in what they’ve accomplished, it’s what makes this industry so special,” she says. “I feel blessed to be part of that journey.”
Look for Lou’s Livestock Supply at upcoming shows, and stop by the trailer to stock up on the most innovative products in the business, Sullivan Supply. Lindsy and her family can’t wait to meet you and become a part of your livestock family.
