ACA National Show Honoree

This year’s National Shows are held in honor of Keith Schrick, whom we sadly lost in February of 2025.
Keith’s involvement with the Chianina breed began more than 50 years ago, in June of 1974, when he first started using Chianina semen on commercial and Angus cows. From those early beginnings, he went on to build a program raising both percentage and fullblood Chianina cattle.
Keith and his wife, Dana, operated Schrick Land & Cattle, Ltd. in Millsap, Texas, alongside their family—sons Jason and Andrea and their children, Jaden and Allison; and Josh and Erica and their children, Kagen and Kooper. For more than five decades, Schrick Land & Cattle has been a mainstay in the Chianina breed, producing and exhibiting champions at the regional, state, and national levels.
After many years without fullblood Chianina on the ranch, the family has recently reintroduced a herd of Chianina fullbloods and continues to grow that part of the operation—carrying on Keith’s passion and vision for the breed.
Keith also served for many years on both the American Chianina Association Board of Directors and the Southwest Region Chianina Association Board. His leadership, dedication, and love for the Chianina breed left a lasting impact on this association and the industry as a whole.
