Meet Your Assistant Show Manager Midwest , A.J. Hornback!

Many of you may recognize the smiling face of A.J. Hornback from shows across the country, as her outgoing personality and passion for the livestock industry shine brightly at the Sullivan Supply trailer. Always eager to help customers with product recommendations, project questions, and everyday show day needs, A.J. has been a valued member of the Sullivan Supply family since April of 2022. Her hard work, dedication, and positive attitude continue to make a lasting impact on exhibitors and families nationwide.

Originally from Belle Union, Indiana, A.J. grew up showing cattle, sheep, and swine while building lifelong friendships through her involvement with Martin Livestock and their successful cow/calf operation. After high school, she attended Northern Oklahoma College, earning an Associate’s Degree in Agricultural Sciences before continuing her education at Oklahoma State University. While in Stillwater, A.J. was a member of the 2019 Livestock Judging Team and later graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science with a Production Option. Following graduation, she began her career with Sullivan Supply in Dunlap, Iowa, where she currently serves as the Midwest Assistant Show Manager. In addition to her work on the road, A.J. has judged numerous livestock shows across the United States and is passionate about giving back to the industry that has given so much to her.

With countless miles traveled across the country, A.J. has embraced the opportunity to join Sullivan Supply because of her desire to make a difference in the lives of young exhibitors. Growing up alongside a brother with autism helped shape her perspective on inclusivity within the livestock industry. One of A.J.’s long-term goals is to help create shows and clinics for children with special needs, ensuring every child has the same opportunities she was fortunate to experience growing up. Through her role at Sullivan Supply, she continues to expand her knowledge, grow meaningful relationships within the industry, and build meaningful connections that will help her pursue those goals in the future.

While there are many moments A.J. values throughout her career, her favorite part of being the Midwest Assistant Show Manager is the relationships she builds with customers and families who quickly become lifelong friends. Along with this, she also enjoys working alongside Tess Mittag, Manager of Stock Show University®, at various hog Stock Show University® clinics, where she serves as a professor and mentor to the next generation of livestock exhibitors.

Sullivan Supply is more than grateful to have A.J. Hornback representing the values and culture that makes our company special. If you see A.J. at the Sullivan Supply trailer, make sure to stop by and say hello!
