Meet the International Sales Intern, Max Humphries

Growing up on his family’s operation, Wattle Grove Speckle Park in Australia, Max Humphries developed a passion for the livestock industry at a young age. Through both his family and high school programs, he gained experience showing cattle across a variety of breeds and quickly became involved in all aspects of the show industry.

One of the highlights of his showing career came at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, where he won Grand Champion Trade Steer with an animal donated by his family to his high school. He was also part of a highly successful school livestock team that earned numerous awards and helped fellow students achieve success in the show ring.

As an intern with Sullivan Supply, he was eager to learn more about the livestock supply industry and the critical role products and services play in helping exhibitors succeed. He hopes to build a stronger understanding of the supply sector and bring that knowledge back to the Australian livestock industry.

In his role as a sales representative, he enjoys working directly with customers to find products that best fit their individual needs and goals. One of his favorite parts of working for Sullivan Supply has been seeing the scale of the operation and gaining insight into everything that happens behind the scenes, from preparing trailers for events to ensuring products reach customers across the country.

He especially enjoys working with livestock families and exhibitors, providing guidance and helping them find solutions for their projects and challenges. One of his most memorable experiences with Sullivan Supply was attending his first-ever pig show at Wahoo, Nebraska. Coming from a cattle-focused background in Australia, the event provided a unique opportunity to experience a new segment of the livestock industry and further broaden his knowledge of the American livestock show culture.
