Congratulations to Copper Knickman of Dunlap, IA on being selected as the first recipient of the Roger Sullivan 4-County Fair Award.
Roger’s one true love was the show cattle industry and, more importantly, the people who make it so special. He found joy not only in raising, selling, and showing cattle, but in building deep, lasting relationships with others who shared that same passion.
Before he passed, Roger asked that a portion of money be set aside to support young exhibitors who embody the same excitement and dedication to the industry that he held so dear.
This year, we are proud to name Cooper as the first recipient of this award. The energy, enthusiasm, and commitment Cooper has brought to the show ring over the years is exactly what Roger loved most about this industry. We couldn’t think of a more fitting individual to carry on his legacy.
