Best of The Barn Best Cattle Showman – Chancee Clark

Best Cattle Showman – Chancee Clark | Best of the Barn Awards

After years of hard work, dedication, and unforgettable memories, Chancee Clark has been named the 2024 Best Cattle Showman in the Best of the Barns Awards. Describing her final junior show season as “memorable,” Chancee reflected on what made it so special. “From the challenges to the victories, every moment held more meaning knowing it was the last time I’d step into the ring as a junior,” she said. “It reminded me of why I fell in love with this way of life in the first place.”

For Chancee, caring for animals has never been just a job—it’s a way of life. “It teaches patience, responsibility, and compassion,” she said. Her success didn’t just come from show day, but from the everyday routine—feeding, brushing, and building trust. “The discipline, time management, and work ethic I’ve developed are going to help me not just in the show ring, but in college, in my career, and in life.”

Growing up in the livestock industry has shaped Chancee’s values and character. “It means being part of a community that values integrity, grit, and support,” she explained. Among her most meaningful memories was the 2020 Junior Nationals, when she and her two younger sisters each won their showmanship divisions. “It wasn’t just about the banners—it was about family, hard work, and the bond we share through this industry.” In her final junior summer, she closed out her career by winning Champion Senior Showman in both the Chi and Simmental divisions.

Her show career is full of impressive moments, but what she treasures most are the people and animals that made the journey meaningful. “My first heifer, Izzy, came from the first cow my parents gave me,” she said. “And my last, Jennifer Anniston—also known as ‘Friend’—made my final year an emotional rollercoaster.” Chancee also recalled a moment that showed the spirit of the livestock world: helping show someone else’s heifer at NAILE, which led to a major win. “It reminded me how much this industry is truly about supporting each other.”

Chancee is now beginning a new chapter. After graduating from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Agricultural Business, she started a career in agricultural finance as a credit analyst. Still, her connection to livestock remains strong. “One of my biggest goals is to continue my own cow herd,” she said. “And I’m especially excited about giving back—whether that’s by helping younger showmen or staying connected to the ag community that shaped who I am.”

Congratulations to Chancee Clark on being named the 2024 Best Cattle Showman—a title that reflects her heart, talent, and grit. As she takes her next steps into a career in agriculture and continues her legacy in the barn, there’s no doubt she’ll keep making a difference. With her passion, work ethic, and desire to give back, the best is yet to come. We wish her all the success in the world as she builds her future—and inspires others along the way.
