The ring will be split for showmanship today– Seniors will start in Ring 1, followed by Junior; Intermediate will start in Ring 2, followed by Novice. The Judges will be choosing the top ten in each division together, so we will be taking a pause in the other ring when that happens. Exhibitors must wear the provided NJLSC light blue showmanship shirt.
Immediately following the selection of Novice showman, a mandatory meeting will be held with the Top 10 Senior Finalists to discuss rules and answer questions. At the conclusion of the meeting, finalists will have 30 minutes to set up. Seniors will have 15 minutes to fit their own animals, which are not to be altered prior to the contest. Animals are subject to a comb/towel test before fitting. After fitting the animals, the contestants will show them.
