Remember to strive for the big purple ribbons, but don’t lose sight of the knowledge that there are things to be learned from the blues and reds and even the whites. I hope you value the rewards of friendship, lessons learned of sportsmanship and a healthy respect for hard work gained during the County Fair. But most of all, I hope that many memories that will last a lifetime are the greatest trophy of all.
