Spotlight on the Fort Worth Stock Show

Many things draw us as livestock exhibitors to the Fort Worth Stock Show, from great friends and competition to the big Texas personalities and excellent weather! To bring you some things you might not know about the Fort Worth Stock Show, we have put together a few interesting facts that we thought everyone would enjoy!
• The Fort Worth Stock Show is the oldest continually running livestock show in the world!
• In 1896 the First Stock Show took place in March on the banks of Marine Creek in North Fort Worth.
• In 1908 Northside Coliseum, site of the annual cattle show, was called ‘the most opulent and dynamic livestock pavilion in the Western Hemisphere.”
• The Fort Worth Rodeo was the very first to be nationally televised.
• Records were set in 2004 with over 24,000 head of livestock entered and 14 livestock sales generated $4,322,675.
