AIJCA Area IV Director Candidate | Kaitlyn Davlin

Kaitlyn Davlin – Area 4 AIJCA Director Candidate

Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Davlin. I am 20 years old and live in a small town in South Texas known as El Campo. I am currently serving as an At-Large Director and loving every minute of it! I have been showing Charolais cattle for many years now and have always had a true passion for the cattle industry and showing quality cattle. I am currently attending Sam Houston State University, where I am a senior. I am majoring in Animal Science with a minor in Agriculture Business. I am the captain of the Beef Cattle Show Team, a member of the Block & Bridle Club and Delta Tau Alpha, an agriculture honor society.

When I graduate, I plan to attend Texas A&M to get my masters in Breeding and Genetics and Ruminant Nutrition. After I finish my education, I plan on continuing my seedstock herd of Charolais and Percentage Simbrah cattle, as well as running our family row crop farm and commercial cattle ranch with my dad. I am currently certified in artificial insemination and palpation, and hope to learn embryo transfer sometime soon.

This industry and the AIJCA has had such a huge impact of me. I am looking forward to impacting each and every one of our juniors as well at Junior National. See you in Grand Island!
